     这天一早从帐篷里探出头去，呀，浓雾迷了我的眼！（图一）

     一米之外的地方就只见黑影憧憧——人形走动就象皮影画，颇具奇幻效果。

     可大势不妙的是：不仅珠峰大本营的其他帐篷见不着了，就连巨大的珠峰
玉体也在眼前消失了。我突然明白了看珠峰要有福气的说法，原来它会变魔术，
昨天见“人”还“明眸善睐”，转眼便消失得无影无踪。

     后来，我发现雾才是真正的魔术师。它先是把这里全面覆盖，变成白茫茫
一片的云海；接着“轻轻用嘴一吹气”，云海如抽丝般随风消散；最后来不及逃
走的几缕云雾变成飘带悬挂在半山腰（图二、三），正好把群山绕了个回环。

     此时，我们渴望的珠峰又亭亭玉立在我们眼前。

     雾的魔术进行了一个小时左右，我站在路边一惊一乍地欢呼着。藏族朋友
笑我说：你太不了解珠峰的脾气了。见到它不只是福气，还要缘分。

     一切皆是缘。我们两次目睹珠峰“真面目”是缘分，我们五人的相识和相知
同样也是缘分。虽然我以为缘分不可以象万精油一样到处涂抹，但此时，什么
可以形容那种人与自然、人与人之间心有灵犀的默契感呢？

     冥冥之中，还是让我选择缘分吧。

[B]《清新协格尔》（图三）[/B]

     我喜欢新定日的这个藏名——协格尔，念起来象吟诵一般。

     协格尔一带的景色也让我欢喜。这里的村庄出落得格外清新，藏族风情
的房屋，四方平整。装饰朴素而不失韵味，再配上院子的石头墙、几株清秀
的小杨树、屋顶的干牛粪堆，这里充满了乡居野趣（图一）。

     其实一路上我们经过的村庄也很多，但独独觉得协格尔显得更为明秀干净。

     路上花朵相迎，那迷人的笑靥盛开在我心间。其实这样的花朵（图二）开
遍了高原，但我们“读你千万遍也不厌倦”，因为它被藏族人看作“吉祥之花”，
同样也是我们奔驰千里的吉祥花。

    （据说这种花是清末驻藏大臣张荫棠从内地带来的，在拉萨落户后很快就繁
衍到西藏各地。藏族人民把这种花看作吉祥之花，因此尊称它为“张大人花”。）

     路上有马车和骑手和我们同行。（图三）一路洒下哒哒的马蹄声，令车上的
我们蠢蠢欲动。很遗憾这一趟没有机会挥鞭纵马，狂奔在高原上，因为我以为那
将是一种驰骋千里，绝尘而去的潇洒人生。

     但很快就有人打破了我的梦想。马车上走下来一个藏族男孩，他好奇地来到
我们的车边。他的一只眼睛象镶上了反光镜，把阳光反射在我的脸上。我笑问他
“你的眼睛为什么长得象外国人？”当听到他回答，“这只眼睛瞎了很久了”，我一
时僵住了。

     协格尔的男孩非常淳朴，他们见到陌生人会主动和你打招呼。（可一开始我
甚至怀疑他是来乞讨的，这一点让我感到惭愧。）男孩说，他今年18岁了，可是
还在读小学三年级。“为什么呢？”，他说自己家里需要帮手，让他和哥哥赶马车
为家里干活，所以断断续续只上到三年级。

    “你的眼睛怎么坏的？为什么不治呢？”男孩羞涩地说：小时候生病吃药吃坏的，
家里治不起，可是还有一只眼睛能看。

    我不知道该说什么。原来马背上还有这样的“独眼男孩”。但他并没有因此显得
自卑，依然善意地对着我们笑，难道他已经习惯把自身的不幸当作生活的一个玩
笑吗？

<B>《色拉寺的辩经》（图二）</B>

     我们逃票进了藏传佛教萨迦派的祖寺——萨迦寺，却意外地撞见喇嘛
辩经的场面。

     在外行人看来，一群身穿红色袈裟的喇嘛比手画脚地说着什么，简直
就象一出闹剧嘛。我当时也忍不住哑然失笑。

     什么是辩经？我的理解就是“论文答辩”，这是喇嘛们的一种学习方式。
也就是通过你问我答，我问你答的方式相互交流学习心得，领悟佛法。

     他们辩经时的动作也是有讲究的。比如要发问的话，发问人拍一下巴
掌来引起对方的注意并向其致敬。如果被提问者回答不上来，那么发问人</P>
<P>也可以拍掌或甩念珠以示警告。

    你看现在萨迦寺大殿一旁的小院里聚集了许多年轻的喇嘛，他们两人一
组，一人站立，一人席地而坐，一问一答，内容可以涉及佛经历史文学自
然科学等等。虽然我们并不能知晓其中意思，但却一饱了眼福。

    据说在西藏，除了转世的灵童，活佛之外，还有通过层层辩经考试成为
活佛和高僧的。就跟我们的高考、研究生考试一样，辩经相当于喇嘛的升
职考试，通过这种公平的方式可以让博学多才的喇嘛脱颖而出。
