[B]1．违建之害猛于虎[/B]

    到过“8·9”厂房坍塌事故现场的人们，对今年夏天发生在湖里区的那场特大建筑事故久久不能忘怀。图为废墟下抢出生存希望。
   
    2003年8月9日，湖里区一幢在建的二层厂房突然坍塌，7死45伤。事故发生后，500多人展开了生死大营救。厦广新闻台当即中断正常节目插播特别报道，成为全市第一家第一时间报道的媒体。

    事故第二天，厦门市政府召开现场办公会议，开始在全市范围内查处违法建筑，在一定程度上刹住了违建的歪风邪气。然而，这血的代价永远无以偿还。

[B]2.厦门模拟“生死营救”[/B]

    这是全国首次以房屋倒塌救援为主的灾害应急救援演习。2003年11月8日晚8时许，位于厦门莲坂埭头社的三幢建筑物突然发生“倒塌”，哭声、喊声、呼救声，此起彼伏，厦门市政府紧急启动灾害应急决策系统，一场“生死大营救”拉开序幕。

    图为国家救援队带着搜救犬赶来支援。这只搜救犬是德国牧羊犬，它能够依靠嗅觉捕捉到人体的气味，找到被困人员后，它会蹲下来，提醒受困人员“你被找到了”。

[B]3．“大海音乐”重塑厦门[/B]

    以“大海·音乐”为主题的厦门雕塑展2003年11月25日在海湾公园开锤。来自世界11个国家和地区的31位雕塑艺术家在这里展现技艺。图为厦门青年雕塑家和他的作品《红孩儿和海龟》。

    虽然在作品完成后，不少厦门人说看不懂。但这没有关系，大海本来就是最具包容性的，音乐从来就是用心灵去体会。因此有人说：“大海、音乐雕塑展，是厦门在文化重建过程中打开接纳现代文化的一个通道。”

[B]4．龙舟池畔重闻战鼓声[/B]

    虽然不是端午节，不过集美龙舟池依然有龙舟赛，这是乡亲们为纪念陈嘉庚创办集美学校90周年而举办的群众性比赛。

    爱国华侨领袖陈嘉庚不但亲自规划设计建造了集美龙舟池，而且锻造了整个厦门的教育基础。陈嘉庚为教育倾尽所有，“陈嘉庚精神”也因此被尊为“国粹”。2003年10月21日，厦门举行纪念陈嘉庚先生创办集美学校九十周年系列活动，缅怀“一代完人”陈嘉庚。

[B]5．“厦门马拉松，有你更成功”[/B]
    2003年3月30日，参加厦门国际马拉松赛暨2003年全国马拉松锦标赛的运动员在“世界最美的赛道”——厦门环岛路开跑。本次马拉松赛共有11560名运动员参赛，十万余人观战。

    只有130多万人口的厦门市不但成功举办了首届厦新厦门国际马拉松赛，而且在办赛的快速高效方面还创造了一项“全国纪录”——有着22年历史的北京马拉松赛，其最短的筹备时间为7个月，而厦门首次筹办马拉松赛仅用了3个月。

    观看了厦门国际马拉松赛后，中国田协副主席罗超毅由衷地发出感慨：“仅用三个月的时间，能把厦门马拉松赛办到这个程度，这真是个奇迹。”

[B]6．“心随鼓浪动，温馨八闽行”[/B]

    “厦门向世界绽放”，随着侨乡厦门把这一自信的标语挂满大街小巷，首届中国(厦门)国际旅游节2003年11月25日在市民的期盼中正式开幕。来自泰国、印度尼西亚等十九个国家的六百多位旅游官员和境外旅行商应邀参加旅游节，并且有近万名境内外客商和游客共聚厦门，在观光的同时洽谈旅游投资和合作。

[B]7．花车巡街 欢乐如花[/B]

    2003年11月23日上午，我市举行中国（厦门）国际旅游节的大型花车巡游活动，20余辆风格各异的大型花车浩浩荡荡巡游鹭岛，兴奋的人群在纷飞的礼花中分享着一场视觉盛宴。这次花车巡游也被看作厦门旅游的“狂欢节”。节日中长泰漂流花车摘取了最具创意花车和最佳造型花车桂冠。

8．张惠妹厦门魅力四射[/B]

    2003这一年，要说厦门娱乐圈带来过什么惊喜，莫过于张惠妹来了！

    12月7日，厦门中心体育场上演2003年厦门乃至福建最为超级火爆的明星演唱会——“厦广音乐台美丽十年演唱会”。张惠妹领衔主演，十余首经典“妹”歌热辣火爆，让素来不温不火的厦门人也跟疯了一把。
